I really enjoyed Thirty-Nine Again (TNA) by this author, so I bought Love Capri Style (LCS) hping for more of the same. But I was disappointed. TNA was clever, witty and fun, but I didn’t feel that with LCS. I was not enjoying the main characters. I lost interest. I read 40% and then jumped to the last couple of chapters.STORY BRIEF:

Love Capri Style Lynn Reynolds 9780615629650 Books Reviews
I picked this up as a free book and am glad I did. The storyline was different and kept me interested the whole way through. The characters were realistic and it was easy to become involved in their romance. This was a fun and fast read for me!
I read this book a couple years ago and loved it then. Rereading it reminded me of how much I love Lynn Reynolds' writing voice. The story is unique, the characters perfect for this story, and how could anyone come up with a better setting for a romance. Five stars.
I read the author's other book, 39 again, and loved it. So I was really disappointed when I got to this one. The characters were annoying and didn't ring true at all, the drama, conflict was totally manufactured, I didn't feel the chemistry. Just nothing. I don't even think I finished - and I really wanted to like it because her other book was so great. Just skip this one (IMO).
Need a nice summer escape? Let Love Capri Style take you away! Amanda and Eric are such believable characters, you feel you know them from the start. Sharing their growth as they learn about themselves and fall in love is a pleasant trip for a quick afternoon read.
What I loved about this book was that it managed that delicate balance of being humorous without being campy so artfully that I smiled almost from beginning to end. Having your characters do and say humorous things without trivializing them is incredibly difficult to do (I would never even attempt it) but Lynn did so in a manner that seemed effortless.
Her writing is fluid and natural, with bursts of descriptive genius that remind you throughout that should she choose, she would be equally talented at writing deep, dense, literary fiction. I also loved that in a relatively short read, she managed to craft interactions between her characters that convinced me utterly that they were developing a genuine and heartfelt connection to one another and in a short period of time. I did not have to suspend my disbelief that they had fallen in love, I believed it.
And then, amidst the humor and playfulness, there was this incredibly vivid portrayal of a growing physical attraction, and the reckless things it can make us do. The sex scenes were pitch-perfect. All too often, I read scenes of intimacy where the characters become someone else entirely (which sometimes does in fact happen during sex for sure) but in a way that is unconvincing - that didn't happen here at all.
Lynn's preferred genre includes more intrigue and adventure than I generally feel drawn to as a reader, but reading 'Love Capri Style' made me curious enough to give it a whirl.
LOVE CAPRI STYLE delivers exactly what the title says ,,, a sweet romantic tale set on the gorgeous island of Capri. Amanda is a lovable heroine who is a smart, talented woman with a sense of humor who doesn't realize how beautiful she is. (I actually found that Amanda's total ignorance of her own beauty and sexuality a little hard to believe.) Eric is the epitome of a strong alpha male who is at a crossroads of his life due to the recent death of his older brother which left him the heir to his family's publishing empire. This book is an easy, lighthearted, fairly quick story to read and I enjoyed it very much. I especially liked the beautifully descriptive imagery which enabled me to feel like I was experiencing the story along with the characters. The writing style is very well done, as is the editing. I really loved the dialogues; they were brisk, sparkling, and authentic. I did find the ending to be rather abrupt but I was still left with a good feeling when I finished reading. The only real flaw was the careless and capricious way that the story dealt with the use of condoms, especially when Eric was known to have had many casual sexual partners in the past. Otherwise I think that the sex scenes were done very well. Overall, I enjoyed reading this book very much and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who loves romance.
Love, Capri Style is a fun, sexy romp with an exotic setting. I've visited Capri twice, and Ms. Reynolds authentically captures that truly beautiful island. Reading this book, I was transported back to Capri and felt I was really there. Amanda and Eric are two well-developed characters with deep-rooted feelings and ambitions, and with love for their families. The love scenes are beautiful, but even more important is the chemistry between these two engaging people. Although Eric had planned his life differently, when his brother died, he stepped up to help the company his father founded. Amanda starts out as a young woman wanting to prove to her father that she can be an asset to his company. She finds along the way that she has a lot to offer on her own and grows emotionally, especially when she allows Eric into her heart. Eric also finds his true self. They both learn what they truly want and to go for it. I couldn't put this book down once I started it.
